History: The Bronx Giants were a semi-professional team playing in the Bronx Oval. Catcher, Paddy Smith, was said to be a phenomenal athlete playing for 7 teams, including the Brooklyn Bushwicks and a month-long stretch on the Boston Red Sox.
History: This great club from the early days of professional black baseball was named after the Royal Cafe in Brooklyn. After many years as an independent team the Royal Giants joined the Eastern Colored League in 1923.
